Recharging Pixy

The Battery Indicator is located on the bottom of Pixy.

When all LEDs are illuminated, and none are pulsing when on charge, this means a full charge and 5-8 flights, when using the default modes. When paired you can find the charge percentage on Pixy Home page.

When one LED is blinking, this means an empty battery and you’ll need to charge or swap the battery to continue flying. Batteries can be removed by lifting the battery at the clip (non-connector) end. Once the clip has disengaged the battery can be fully removed.

If you press the flight button and the red LED is shown, along with a chime, the battery needs charging before you can fly. Pixy won’t take off with less than 20% battery to prevent flights from prematurely landing.

Use the included USB-C cable or a certified USB-C cable, and for the best performance use a dedicated USB AC adapter capable of 2A or greater. Pixy will charge faster through a wall adapter.

Change the Pixy battery

To change Pixy's battery gently pull on the groove at the rear end of the battery to remove.

When installing a battery, first insert the front end and then press the back of the battery into place to ensure it is secure.

Using the charging pack

The dual battery plug-in charger for Pixy (sold separately) allows you to recharge two batteries at once, simply insert and remove as you would from Pixy, and use the included USB-C adapter to charge.

When on charge a solid white LED indicates the battery is fully charged, and one or more blinking white LEDs shows batteries that are charging. If both LEDs are off please check the cable is fully inserted.

Note that the charging pack is not a power bank, it allows you to charge two batteries at a time when plugged in, but does not hold charge itself.

Using a lower power port to charge the charging back will mean only one battery is charging at a time.

Battery Handling and Usage
